Workmanship is covered by Tidewater from the completion date. Product warranties come from the paint or coating manufacturer (I’m a trusted Wattyl, Dulux and Taubmans installer), subject to their terms and registration. The exact product system for your job is named in your quote. On a Whole-Exterior Package each part carries the cover above, written into one warranty document.
If your restored roof leaks
Call or email me with photos. Leaks on work I’ve done are handled under your written workmanship warranty.
How to claim
Call 0431 265 377 or email quotes@tidewaterroofandpaint.com.au with your quote number and a few photos. I reply personally.
Why it depends on your roof’s history
A roof that has never been coated takes the new coating straight onto the tile or metal. A roof painted before has an older coating underneath, and how well that layer holds affects the new one. So each is set out separately, instead of one big number with fine print.
What’s covered
- Workmanship: defects in the work I did, such as ridge bedding and pointing, tile replacement, and coating or paint I applied.
- Product: the coating or paint itself, under the manufacturer’s warranty and terms. I register it where the manufacturer requires.
What isn’t covered
Typical exclusions (your quote lists the ones for your job):
- Hidden damage that wasn’t part of the work (e.g. rotten battens, cracked sarking), unless added as a written variation
- Structural repairs and carpentry beyond the quote
- Asbestos-containing materials (work stops; a licensed removalist is needed)
- Damage from storms, impacts, other trades or foot traffic after the job
